Markets of the World

This website has information about two very different types of markets:

Ethnic Markets in Eastern Massachusetts

Individual grocery stores, bakeries, meat stores, pasta shops, and other locations selling food (and some non-food items) from a particular country, region, or culture. Most of the markets are in Metropolitan Boston, but the site has some coverage in the rest of Massachusetts, plus a market or two in Rhode Island and New Hampshire.

The market list lets you choose to view only markets of a particular type or cuisine, while the map lets you zoom in to see all markets in a particular area.

Public Markets Worldwide

A public market is a place, which could be indoors, under a pavilion roof, or open-air, where multiple vendors sell products ranging from food to flowers to antique furniture. Some are open daily, while others are seasonal or are open just a few days a week or a month.

This side of the website also has a filterable list of markets, as well as a market map.
